André Rodrigo da Silva is a Ph.D. candidate at the Nicolaus Copernicus Astronomical Center (CAMK) in Warsaw.


The supervisor of his doctoral work is prof. Rodolfo Henrique Silva Smiljanic.


André Rodrigo da Silva participates in the CUBES project to provide synthetic stellar spectra from a new UV spectrograph for the VLT.

  • artificial intelligence methods and machine learning applied to astronomy,
  • metal-poor stars in the galactic halo,
  • Neutron capture nucleosynthesis, in special R-process,
  • data Analysis of near-UV and visible surveys,
  • galactic archaeology and near-field cosmology,
  • stellar populations and chemical evolution,
  • near-UV and visible spectroscopy of F-/G-/K-stars,
  • near-UV instruments.
