Gender Equality Plan

GENDER EQUALITY PLAN

Promoting gender equality and counteracting discrimination in the workplace are fundamental goals of the European Union and key elements of the Horizon Europe Programme. Point 53 of the preamble to the EU regulation establishing the framework programme states:

Activities carried out under the Programme should aim to eliminate gender bias and differences in treatment of women and men, improve the work-life balance, and promote gender equality in research and innovation, including equal pay without discrimination on grounds of sex (...). The gender dimension should be integrated into the content of research and innovation and monitored throughout the research cycle. In addition, the Programme should seek to eliminate inequalities and promote equality and diversity in all aspects of research and innovation with regard to age, disability, race and ethnic origin, religion or belief, and sexual orientation.

The main objective of the Gender Equality Plan at CAMK PAN is to increase awareness of existing gender biases and disparities and to ensure equal opportunities for personal and scientific development for all employees and PhD candidates. Supporting free and equitable development contributes to individual well-being, a safe and autonomous academic environment, and improved research quality.
