Alexander Lucas Hellström is a Ph.D. candidate at the Nicolaus Copernicus Astronomical Center (CAMK) in Warsaw and a scholar at the Geoplanet Doctoral School.


The supervisor of his doctoral thesis is prof. Mirosław Giersz.


Lucas is currently working in the MOCCA (MOnte Carlo Cluster simulAtor) group which is coordinated by Prof. Mirosław Giersz. The MOCCA group is actively developing and performing research involving star clusters with the MOCCA code which is an advanced MOnte Carlo Cluster simulAtor. His part in this group is developing and assisting with the development of this code as well as conducting research focused on white dwarf and white dwarf binaries in stellar clusters which is the topic of his Ph.D. dissertation.
