Grzegorz Wiktorowicz is a postdoctoral researcher at the Nicolaus Copernicus Astronomical Center (CAMK) in Warsaw.

In 2016 he obtained his Ph.D. in theorethical astrophysics at the University of Warsaw where, after that, he conducted one-year postdoctoral research focused on numerical simulations of stellar populations. In 2018-2020 he was conducting an independent research on binary star evolution (especially ultra luminous X-ray sources and black hole binaries)at the National Astronomical Observatories of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) within his PIFI (President’s International Fellowship Initiative) fellowship. Then he moved back to Poland and worked as a specialist modelling of environmental factors for the Eagle Eye mission in the Space Research Centre of the Polish Academy of Sciences and data analyst dealing with statistical and Machine Learning modelling of large data sets for Accenture.

In 2022 he joined NCAC and the group led by Prof. Mirosław Giersz. Currently he is working on the ULXs, LMXB and DCO in the globular cluster environment, analyzing their populations, formation channels and observational properties, as well as improving the globular cluster evolution code MOCCA and its integration with stellar evolution codes Startrack and BSE.

Both above-mentioned projects were led by Prof. Krzysztof Belczyński.
