Animation presents simulation of an atmospheric shower as seen by the camera of a small telescope of the Cherenkov Telescope Array (CTA). Cherenkov radiation photons are registered by a camera consisting of photo tubes. Those photons are produced by high energy secondary particles in the atmosphere. The whole cascade was initiated by cosmic gamma photons, protons, electrons and secondary muons. The picture of a developing shower lasts tens microseconds. Noise is represented by blue pixels and it’s origin is the night sky background, bright stars in the field of view of the telescope and instrumental effects. Simulation was prepared by Mateusz Janiak.
