Nicolaus Copernicus Astronomical Center and Polish Astronomical Society invite all interested astronomers to attend the meeting with the Executive Director of the CFHT (Canada-French Hawaii Telescope), Doug Simons, and the Director of Science Operations of CFHT, Daniel Devost. They will visit NCAC to present plans of constructing a new telescope - the Maunakea Spectroscopic Explorer (MSE, earlier nCFHT, see: http://www.ngcfht.org. The MSE will be a 10 m telescope devoted to multiobject spectroscopy, with planned repeated observations of a given field of view. This would give the possibility to study the variability of weak sources - mostly galaxies, but also stars and the interstellar/intergalactic medium.
The meeting will be held at NCAC Warsaw, Bartycka 18, on May 30th (Friday)
