One of this year's laureates of the Foundation for Polish Science Prize is Krzysztof Górski. He was for many years associated with CAMK PAN in Warsaw. He completed doctoral studies at CAMK in 1980-1984. Here he obtained his doctorate (supervisor Paweł Haensel) and worked in the years 1984-1986. After leaving Poland, he worked in many institutes around the world. For many years he collaborated with the late Roman Juszkiewicz from CAMK PAN. He currently works at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California, and Astronomical Observatory, Warsaw University.
