Competition for research scholarship in computational astrophysics

Nicolaus Copernicus Astronomical Center of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Warsaw announces competition for a 4-year research scholarship to participate in the SONATA BIS project „Kinetic simulations of instabilities in relativistic plasma” (2015/18/E/ST9/00580) financed by the Polish National Science Centre and led by Dr Krzysztof Nalewajko. The scholarship is available for graduate students with a bachelor degree and PhD students in the fields of astrophysics, astronomy or physics. Knowledge of numerical methods, high-energy astrophysics or plasma physics will be preferred.

Candidates should submit an application including a CV, a copy of the most important diploma (master, engineer, bachelor) including the list of course grades, as well as information on research experience (participation in research projects, publications, awards, etc). They can also include one recommendation letter from a research advisor.
