A short workshop to mark the thirtieth anniversary of the publication of the 1988 slim disks paper (Abramowicz, Czerny, Lasota, Szuszkiewicz, 1988, ApJ, 332, 646) will take place at the Nicolaus Copernicus Astronomical Centre in Warsaw on 21-23 October 2018. Organizer: prof. Marek Abramowicz.
